Each cottage is comfortably furnished and fully self-contained including a spacious bathroom, well-equipped kitchen, attached carport, indoor fireplace in the living room for those chilly nights, and your own private outdoor fire pit.

Our one-bedroom cottages, Orchard and Catbird, are perfect for couples. Set apart for privacy, they enjoy their own unique feel and peaceful setting. Orchard and Catbird cottages are the ideal choice for a romantic getaway or an escape from the everyday hustle and bustle.

Two Bedroom Private Cottage

Our two-bedroom cottage, Frog Hollow, is positioned close to the Severn River and surrounded by bushland for tranquillity. If you value peace and privacy this is the choice for you. Ideal for couples sharing a getaway with friends, or a family group with accommodation for up to 5 people.

The hosts are really welcoming with great communication. Everything comfortable, and super clean. The fireplace was already set up ready to go, we were welcomed with a nice bottle of locally produced wine, plus a breakfast hamper, and even some amazing local apple juice!

Frog hollow was a pretty little two bedroom cottage with a well equipped kitchen and a lovely homey feel. The location was great. Close to the national park, wineries and restaurants.

Idyllic spot. Very cosy and homely cottage with comfortable furnishings and well-appointed kitchen facilities. The log fire kept us warm - with no shortage of kindling available on the grounds! Friendly hosts, clearly keen to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible.

Friendly and helpful hosts. The bottle of wine and breakfast were a lovely addition. Quiet and relaxing location, close to several wineries.

Severn River Cottages is centrally located in southern Queensland’s wine region of Stanthorpe. Within a short drive from the cottages, a showcase of Granite Belt delights awaits you. The Strange Bird winery trail features a plethora of cellar door vineyards and local businesses offering a fantastic variety of award-winning wine, wonderful food, and entertainment.

We are also a short drive to magnificent Girraween National Park and many other beautiful natural landscapes offering stunning scenery of the great outdoors. There’s unique wildlife, biking, hiking, driving trails, and walking tracks, as well as cool freshwater rock pools and waterfalls for summer swimming.
